This is an exceptional older engine. It truly is in excellent mechanical condition and the only cosmetic flaws are a few surface rust spots (photos). The engine has been tested (video) and the heating element warms up.I have no doubt that it should operate on steam without much trouble (perhaps a dried up gasket).I don't remember seeing one that looks as good as this one for its age. The chrome is very nice. The era is determined by the design of the box but mostly for the early high quality whistle/pressure relief valve. The D12 Single Cylinder was discontinued a while back.
