Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Here we have an extremely rare and beautiful early Bennington Pottery 8-sided pitcher. The Rockingham spatter glaze is especially attractive and well applied so the yellow ware clay shows through the glaze. This pitcher was made from 1849 – 1858 in Bennington, Vermont Smaller and larger pitchers with the same 8-sided design are shown in “Bennington Pottery and Porcelain” by Richard Carter Barret on pages 26 and 28. Measuring 7 ½” in height to the top of the handle, 6 ¼” to the rim and 5” in width across the base this is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs. This previously unknown Bennington Pottery pitcher is highly collectable and would be prized by any collector.
