First of all, shut off the power to the unit. And then use a socket to unthread the screws securing the access cover and remove the cover. 2. Cut the zip tie securing the wire bundle and disconnect the wire harness. 3. Now remove the mounting screws securing the fan guard. And lift up the guard and fan motor assembly, detach the wire guide from the cover and flip the assembly over. 4. Undo the twist retainer inside the condensing unit pull the wires free and remove the fan guard and fan motor assembly. 5. Use a wrench to loosen the set screw and pull the fan blade off of the motor shaft. 6. Remove the wire guide. 7. Use a socket to remove the mounting nuts to release the old fan motor from the fan guard. 8. Position the new motor on the fan guard and install it according to the removal steps. ▶.
