Description: For bid is an original February 20, 1941 "San Francisco Club of Printing House Craftsmen" souvenir printing block from the Precision Electrotype Company. This is a souvenir of a "PLANT VISIT" by the members of the club held February 20, 1941, just a few months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor and WWII. This is a rectangular metal block that appears to be made of zinc or a similar white medal used for printing and lithographic work. A fun, promotional item from the visit!! Very thick printing plate with some wear. it's not perfect but very decent. Measures just over 4.25 inches wide. A great souvenir of San Francisco, California printing history.
