Description: Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass, 24 Fret Rosewood Neck, Quilted Maple, Super Rare Sunburst OrangeThis is a really hard bass to find! I think these were only made for about 18 months in 2005 & 2006. (I literally can not find another one for sale with this color scheme and only 1 or 2 similar models with a more standard and basic color)The last listing of this model I found sold for $950 in 2023. https://thebasspalace.com/used-fender-bassAll of these were Made in Korea. There are no equivalent models made in USA or any other country for that matter. I have a hunch these came out of the same factory as Lakland Skyline basses from the same period. No matter, this bass is 100% Fender all the way!It has a 3-piece alder body with a fantastic bookmatched quilt maple top that's finished in transparent tangerine with a slight sunburst effect towards the edges. It's got a maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 24 frets and has a 6-bolt neck plate. Again, I think this is the only Fender bass to ever have a 6-bolt neck. Equipped with two factory Basslines Quarter-Pound pickups and a 9-volt preamp. The controls are nicely laid out with volume, pan, concentric bass/treble and a mid knob. The switch appears to be a mid boost that gives the bass a bit more punch and presence. All the hardware is chrome with a string-thru bridge design and Hipshot Ultralight tuners. It weighs a mere 9 .lbs and comes with a Fender hard case.
