Built in Corona, California, the American Performer Telecaster combines Fender's signature tone and authentic playability with modern, player-friendly specs to take your performance to new heights. The American Performer Telecaster is a new and exciting instrument. The American Performer Telecaster features Yosemite single-coil pickups for expressive, rich tone. The Yosemite pickups have a flat staggered polepiece for increased output and a special coating (neck pickup: shellac coated/bridge pickup: wax potting) to bring out the natural tone of the coils while reducing feedback. These pickups produce a dynamic sound ideal for any musical performance. It also has a Greasebucket tone circuit that does not muddy the sound when the tone is turned down. The Modern "C" shape of the 9.5" radius fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets ensures ideal playability for all playing styles.
