Fenton Mulberry Ombre Beaded Melon Optic Ruffled Vase 6" Cranberry Blue VTG 80s

Description: *Gorgeous* Fenton mulberry glass beaded melon vase with ruffled edge and optic pattern. The beautiful two-tone mulberry shade is achieved by skillfully combining ruby and azure glass during the blowing process to create this striking ombre effect. I worked at an antique mall for several years and handled many, many Fenton pieces during that time, but I don't recall any in this color! I inspected this very closely. It is free of chips or cracks, but does have some little scratches on top around the mouth, please see last two photos. And the neck, in the right light, looks a touch hazy inside, probably deposits - we do have hard water here and I know the previous owner used this because I found a few rose petals in it. There is an indistinct oval in the center of the base that could be a failed hallmark. This measures just barely 6" at its very tallest point, and 4 1/8" wide at the base. This piece was made in the late 1980s. This will ship double boxed, of course, with plenty of cushioning, and with insurance.
