Handmade in the United Kingdom, it was hand-crafted by Les Wood, the exclusive silversmith pipe-maker for Alfred Dunhill for decades. This pipe is adorned with an 18ct. (750) yellow gold band engraved with an engine turned (guilloche) moire pattern. The gold band on Mr. Wood's pipes are extremely rare, given he normally works in silver and is a well-re-known silversmith. Very few people have had the opportunity to see or even hold a straight grain pipe of this caliber, let alone to own one. These legendary pieces hide often in the back of a desk drawer of the factory owner and are reserved for the privileged few. This pipe is new in the box and hand signed by Mr. Wood, making it even more rare. The pipe is unused and never fired. Whether or not it will be a collectors piece or perfect for smoking a favorite or variety of tobacco blends for the first time will be strictly determined by its next owner.
