First edition. 2nd printing. Printed 1992. Published by Viking, New York. 6 1/4 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches tall. Original dust jacket. Quartered hardcover with gold stamping on spine. 533 pages. Condition: Dust jacket shows some wear: hole in the lamination over the spine (about 1 inch, maybe from a removed sticker), panel edges curled, remains of sticker on the front panel below author name; flaps are not clipped. The covers show light wear: spine edges not rolled, outer corners not bumped, upper page edges dusted and light soiling on the lower corners otherwise page edges are clean and unmarked. Except for the inked signatures on the half-title and title pages, inner pages are clean, tight, and unmarked, little/no tanning.
