All of which attest to its excellent condition. . .no wear, no tears, no stains, no pulled stitches, no missing or damaged tasseled fringe. It is a generous 19x19 inches square, and features a sumptuous center flower bouquet, bracketed with luxurious finely hued vines on all four sides, all stitched in wool, with too many different colors, shades, tints and flowers to identify. Having been taught needlepoint, embroidery and various other needlecrafts as a child (cultural imperative)I can tell you that this is needlework falls somewhere between needlepoint and petit point. . .numbering more than 250 stitches per square inch. The small, fine stitching allows for greater detail in the overall design as well as the ability to offer finely shaded hues and tones of color so that the pillow has both texture and dimension.
