Description: Fine antique French master violin by Honoré Derazey. Fine antique French 19th century violin made by Honoré Derazey circa 1880. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines widening towards the edges. The back is made of two pieces of flamed maple. The varnish is of an orange-brown color on a golden ground. The head shows a black chamfer and its well carved and rounded back is typical of Derazey instruments. The instrument shows on the inside back the original fire brand and label of the maker. A superb master instrument, in perfect playing condition (just one repair under the left f hole, and some varnish restorations). The sound is absolutely wonderful, rich, deep and mature, brilliant and projective. A fantastic violin you will love through the years. Body length : 358 mm. Worldwide shipping.
