They are inserted into each issue that up until 2020 have been published monthly with the exception of a combined January-February issue. Starting in 2020, they have been published every two months. They're printed on a light cardboard stock paper [a little more flimsy than Topps and other cards] and are limited to a print run of the amount of issues published by the magazine. Some of the less mainstream athletes are featured who have no other cards on the market. Some SI cards have become quite valuable, such as the 1996 Tiger Woods and 2023 Victor Wembanyama cards. Note: These cards are torn along perforated lines and may have slight wear due to being in a magazine. Most grading services will only grade SI Kids cards if they are torn out along perforation and not cut out.
