Printed on bank note (bond) paper as issued, Victorian decorative border surrounding the map. Sheet displays various old wrinkles, minor light tiny age spotting or browning along fold-lines, light uniform paper age toning, original fold lines, still mostly remaining clean and fresh in appearance- a pleasing and well preserved visual example.Detailed insets top left of Carthage Landing and Hughsonville, two insets lower right of new Hackensack and Glenham down towns. Many specific buildings are named on all the maps, each has a short business directory which includes trades such as cigar maker, shoe dealer, carpenters, grape grower, carpet weaving, black smith, mason, butcher, farmers, etc.At middle right edge is a two column list of "Names of Heads of 67 Families living in Dutchess County in the year 1714". A very detailed map of tremendous potential genealogical interest for any of the families on it as of 1714. Few maps of this era delineate family names in this manner.
