Table 76" L X 30" H, 40" W with 8 Matching carved high back chairs - Burgundy velvet seat upholstery - 2 end chairs have carved arms. Table has 2 end leaves which extend the table to 120" long and seat up to 12. 2. 78" L X 36" W Sideboard/credenza/buffet 3. 42" L X 20" W X 65.5" H Carved Highboy/hutch 4. 48" L X 30" W Server This antique set originally graced the home of the President /Founder and his wife of a well known local university in the NY Metro area and when he retired it was purchased in 1968 by my family. It is in excellent condition as it was lovingly cared for over the years. I would recommend that the chairs be recovered if you would like to change the fabric or color. The photos do not do it justice as the intricately carved details and parquet inlay on the perimeter of the table add a timeless classic look of the period - early 20th Century. Below is a little history of the maker. Horner opened in New York City in 1886, advertising “First-Class and Medium-Quality Furniture” to serve both wealthy and middle-class markets. R.J. Horner & Co. produced a wide range, primarily in oak and mahogany due to a shortage of walnut. The output ran from dining-room sets to hall trees, upholstered parlor sets to desks.
