This is a simply awesome book on the floral punch art scene by Susan Tierney Cockburn. This is a soft cover book of 24 pages that is chock full of full color photographs of fabulous flowers that can be made with the use of punches, colored pencils, and a little patience. These realistic flowers can add so much to your quilling, scrapbooking, or card making projects. The instructions here are extremely detailed with step by step diagrams and photos, which makes it ideal for beginners as well as accomplished paper artists. The chapters include basics, techniques, successful 3-D flowers, summer blooms and a wide range of full projects. Some of the flowers are buddleja, dahlia, daisy, rubeckia, geranium, hydrangea, lily, magnolia, nasturtium, poppy, rose, and sunflower. Each project lists exactly which punches and tools are used for each flower. Many are done using punches you may already have such as hearts, leaves, and daisy shapes. Others use specific punch shapes. The punches for these projects are listed in my store under the category -punches for floral punch craft...and further categories listed by size. The nice thing about such a great instruction book is that the same process decscribed for each flower can be used with literally any size punched out shape. In other words, even though the instructions may call for say a medium size heart punch to create that particular flower, the indentical flower can be created with ANY size heart shape. The resulting flower will just be a different finished size.This will extend your creativity far beyond only what is listed in the book.
