Description: LONG WAVE UV and PHOSPHORESCENT Beautiful old collection specimen of golden brown fluorite crystal and white Celestine. There are some nice well formed, translucent Fluorite crystals on this specimen. The piece came from an old mineral collection and is glued to a piece of foam board with a paper label attached as well as a collection number on the backside of the specimen. It comes in a new 3-1/2" x 2-1/4" display case (fixed to the case with tak putty). The Fluorite has an excellent bright white fluorescent response under long wave UV light and a strong green phosphorescence (afterglow) as seen in pic #3. From Clay Center, Ottowa County, Ohio. 169 grams including display box. 6 cm length. NOTE! The long wave ultraviolet photos above were taken with a 365nm, filtered, Convoy2 flashlight.
