Description: Flushing, NY 1873 Original Map This original map comes from the Beers 1873 Atlas of Queens County. It covers a large part of what is now considered downtown Flushing. Originally, a map that folded out of the atlas, it measures approx. 33" x 15.5". Contains such features as Parsons Nursery, Sanford Hall Asylum, Bowne House (which was apparently owned by a Parsons at that time), and of course all of the homeowners names at the time. A wonderful historic piece! There is a teeny margin tear at the intersection of Union St and what was then called Amity St. Otherwise in very good condition. Item will be mailed by 1st class mail in a plastic sleeve with rigid backing. The map will be folded on its original fold lines. And, of course, if you wish to pick the map up, there would be no shipping charge. If you would like any other shipping options, you need to contact me before paying for the item. Payment includes required ebay tracking; and unfortunately I've had to raise my recent item prices a bit to accommodate the required tracking expense.
