This particular unit has a pro/con quirk of being buttery-silent yet unusually sticky on the pan axis such that at moderately low speeds of rotation, the head will follow your movements. While usually not what you want from a stabilizer, this has the benefit of enabling very clean orbits (at the right speed) and also two-handed weight-bearing in situations where you can control the unit entirely through rotation of the handle. Also note that 2 minor and reversible modifications have been made: gaff tape was added to the midplate (see last photo), and thin masking tape between the head-plug and center-post, both to eliminate any potential jitter. The gaff tape does make adjustment of the top plate more difficult, but I still highly recommend it.
