Description: This folk art piece features two colorful corn stalks on black background. Retains old paper label on the back and details this piece was made by the Huichol Indians and purchased from Dave Martin Gallery. 16" wide x 16" tall. This piece is in very good condition but the pink outer border has a section that the three rows have come loose. Great depiction, being sold at a low price for the condition issues. Signed on the back D. Martin. Huichol paintings are made with beeswax spread on wood, then left to warm in the sun. The artist then scratches his design into the wax with a sharpened stick. The lines of the drawing are then filled in by patiently twisting and coiling colored yarns Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
