Description: Force 10 From Navarone VHS Tape in Original Clamshell Case (As-Is/Untested) DescriptionUp for sale is a VHS copy of Force 10 From Navarone starring Harrison Ford, Carl Weathers, and Robert Shaw; among others. This tape was sitting on in a base cabinet for the past unknown number of decades (probably since the late eighties/early nineties if I remember correctly) and so I've decided to put it up for sale now in as-is condition for any and all interested parties out there, since I no longer have any use for it. The original Warner Bros. branded clamshell vacuformed box that the tape comes housed in exhibits some minor signs of wear on it; specifically along the outer edge of the box which exhibits some minor signs of warpage (see picture #6). There might also be a touch of yellowing; not only on the graphical insert of the box; which has also aged a bit from storage, but also on the transparent vinyl pouch which houses the graphical insert/cover artwork. There is also a minor cut on this clear vinyl on the back of the box near the bottom lower left area of the case which has left that small portion of the graphical artwork insert exposed and slightly cut up as well. The clamshell box itself may also have some slightly sagging wrinkles on the very same clear vinyl plastic sleeve that houses the box cover art. One of the windows on the VHS tape has a smudge on it that was probably some sort of surface scratch, as it doesn't seem to wipe off so easily. There is also a sticker running along the side of the VHS tape; which I believe is supposed to be like a write protection tab; just a preventative measure to ensure that the tape doesn't accidentally get copied over. I just find it funny that the manufacturer resorted to simply placing a sticker over this area instead of having an actual tab there. There is also a seal sticker on the side of the clamshell box that was cut open, obviously, many years back when the tape was first added to the collection. The end label on the VHS tape appears to have some fading on the some of the lettering... I can't really tell if this was an intentional stylized font by the manufacturer or if it has faded from general age and/or storage for that matter; 'cause I figure that perhaps this happened from the tape being rubbed up against the vacuformed interior of the clamshell box that it comes housed in and whatnot (see picture #22). Additionally, there is also some major yellowing that's happened on the plastic tape reels for the VHS tape; which are immediately noticeable when you turn the tape over (see pictures #23 & #24). Please note that I do not have a means by which to test this tape out at the moment since I no longer have a working VCR, so the tape itself is untested and thus being sold in as-is condition. I'm pricing it to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
