And this is the ONLY POSSIBLE WAY to up-grade the software in a Fostex VF160 recorder that has any version lower than version 1.10... I love the "internal mix down" feature...Mix 16 tracks down to 2 tracks via "internal mix down", then record 14 more tracks...Then keep repeating this process for an endless amount of tracks (with no loss of quality)...
