Description: A monumental meeting of one of Americas finest 20c glass companies and a world famous Deco industrial designer. The base and the three-legged standard are made from Fostorias ebony glass, to which Sakier was greatly attracted across many other Fostoria designs. Bowl measures 6 1/8" across and height is 5 3/4". The contrast of the colorless to the black glass is gripping, and while other prettier colors have been found, I hold this as his most gripping combination. This shape was in production between 1931 and 1932. Condition: No chips or cracks. There is one scratched area on the bowl which looks far worse than it is because of the magnification. It is not something that sticks out when you look at the piece. In the 2nd pic, the skilled photographer (me) caught all the detail of the scratch against the black background of the base. That was the only way I could get all the detail necessary.
