Description: This WONDERFUL HAND PAINTED TERRA COTTA FRATANTONI VIETRI CERAMICHE FIRST STONES PLUMS TRIVET-TILE-WALL PLAQUE was made in ITALY and features a hand painted and hand signed glazed surface decoration with a beautiful image of a branch with two plums on a thick terra cotta base, with hanging hardware and three of four felt circles on the back. The incised makers mark and the original paper label on the back has the following 'First Stones' origin story: 'Since 1985 the Fratantoni family has been making for Vietri a line of decorative pieces to bring enjoyment both indoors and outdoors. The sun is a symbol that Fratantoni has chosen as their central idea for these products. According to ancient beliefs, these 'First Stones' are placed on the wall of a house or garden to assure blessing and prosperity.' It measures approximately 6 3/4" square and 3/4" thick it is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks, crazing, stains or other flaws that I can find!
