Description: Frédéric Chopin - Great Men Of Music This 4 cassette box-set is USED in VERY GOOD condition. A part of Time Life's mail-order "Great Men Of Music" series (originally released between 1975 and 1985), this box-set consists of over 3 hours worth of amazing classical music from the legendary Frédéric Chopin performed by Van Cliburn, John Browning and Rudolf Firkusny among others. The set also includes a very informative 22-page booklet that contains an essay about Chopin's life (written by Tom Prideaux), a listener's guide to the recordings and a chronology of Frédéric's life and works. This series was known for drawing from RCA Victor's golden stereo album heritage. Some sets featured original recordings from Deutsche Grammophon that were compiled and licensed to RCA Corporation. A great way to expand your classical tape collection! Includes selections from the following compositions:- Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 11;- Etudes, Op. 10;- Sonata No. 2 In B Flat Major, Op. 35;- various Polonaises, Nocturnes and Waltzes and more! The outer box has damage (as seen on our photos of the actual product) to the front (2 tears ~ both around 2" x 1") but besides that the box is still strong with no structural damage. The tray holding the cassettes and booklet is in great shape. The booklet is clean with signs of regular handling. The cassettes look LIKE NEW. Don't miss out on the chance to own this excellent classical box-set! Items are shipped securely to avoid damage in transit.
