Description: William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", Frederick Ross (signed) as Friar Lawrence with Matheson Lang (not signed) as Romeo. Lyceum Theatre, London, 1908. This antique postcard is a true rarity being signed by Shakespearean actor in the prime of his career. No other examples are on the market at this time, it is a true piece of theater history and comes from my private collection accumulated over 15 years. It is signed; "Yours very sincerely, Frederick Ross". Condition: good, some signs of age and handling wear (see scans), minor creasing in extremities, not affecting the autograph, or the focal subjects. Some small pitting spots. Size: 3.43 in. x 5.36 in. He also played in the 1920 film version of Hobson's Choice.
