Description: French 17 Jewel Wind-Up Digital Watch NIB (Made by Yema) New Vintage Stock RARE!This was originally part of a "private label" program for retail Jewelry stores--run by Nicolet Watch company of New York. The watch was manufactured by Yema in France. The Jeweler would order these with their own name printed on the dial. Nicolet would add the store's logo to the dial before shipping it to them. That is why the dial only says "France", because this was a minimum requirement to clear U.S. Customs. I have bench-tested this watch and it is quite accurate but for those who are too young to remember, the mechanical watches were never as accurate as the quartz ones. It must be wound by hand. We will warranty it against failure (except by water or damage due to dropping) for 3-months after purchase. (Accuracy should be within 1-minute per 24-hour day). You can also return it for 14-days after receipt but it must be brand new and unused to return it for a refund, thanks. If defective, please ask us for a return authorization (within 90-days after receipt) and you would pay for return shipping and insurance (if you choose to insure it). We would repair it and return it to you at our expense. If we can not repair it, we have the option to refund your money. This is an informal warranty, there will be no warranty booklet. The case is 14-K gold-filled, which is high-end by today's standards. It is much more gold than a normal plating. Most other mechanical digitals from this era are silver-tone. The goldtone makes it a bit rare but the "gold-filled" plating makes it a true collector's item. Its marked "Water Protected" which means that it was originally built using gaskets--same as water-resistant. However, that was a long time ago and the gaskets may have lost their ability to keep water out if submerged.
