Description: Wonderful Pair (2) of antique Kelsch pillow shams/ covers. These lovely home loomed textiles were typical of the Alsace region of France, produced mainly by rural farmers between 1900-1930. Yummy heavy nubby rustic linen. Classic brick red with an unusual blue grey mix. Color is a bit hard to read in photos last few show blue tinge a bit more than other on my monitor. Wonderful to use as pillow cover or fabulous fabric to repurpose for upholstery, pillows or many other home decor or craft projects. Sewn from one width of fabric with seems on two sides and tie closure. Condition: Excellent no flaws that I note. Freshly washed. Measures approximately: 27” x 30” each and double as two sided so If opened up would be 27" x 60" each I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected.
