Description: This lovely and elegant French antique bureau plat or writing table has a variety of veneers with three drawers.The decorative brass ormolu and hardware is all original and create the "look" that made these French desks famous for their fashion around the world. Restored, the three drawers and three pull out writing surfaces on opposite side all function. Keys used as pulls only; locks no longer function.Notice in the photos there are scratches, gouges, scuffs, bubbles and stains along the vintage green leather top that are all commensurate with age and use. Typical tarnish to brass.The skirt to floor height below the drawers (where one would sit) is 23.75"All scratches, cracks, dings, missing pieces of veneer and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special writing desk.
