Description: The French Lines SS France sailed for this company from 1962 until 1974, She was finally scrapped in 2006. This lot includes: -A first day cover of the SS France on her inaugural voyage postmarked in France and Martinique. its postmarked in 1968, so it might be when the envelope was issued, but see photos closely to discern what it is.- This envelope also contained unused stamps from West Germany, there are 7 with different denominations and photos, I kept them in this lot because, well, why not.- Some sort of thick card mentioning the French Line France and its route.- The "SS France longest, largest, finest ship afloat deck plan, printed in USA in 1973. When opened its approximately 24 x 32 inches, and double sided. This comes from the estate of a cruise ship aficionado who enjoyed cruise ships and also collected items. According to receipts many of these items were bought at antique stores in the 1990's, and have been kept safe in plastic envelopes within a binder, and inside of a trunk ever since. They were carefully catalogued into sections.
