Description: Exquisite French Palais Royal trinket/jewel box. A very fine dainty sarcophagus form trinket box with a canted lid & brass carrying/pull handle in a rare exotic highly figured "mulberry wood". The top has a MOP plaque and brass bale handle and rests on four brass ball feet. The interior originally lined in a beige silk (missing in lid) & needing to be replaced. The lid lays flat, there is no key and it is not marked. The wood with natural characteristics, cracking minor chipping etc. commensurate with age. Minor repairs, to piece of inlay and veneer.
