Description: Offered is this charming porcelain china dresser jar or cigarette box with hinged lid. It is marked made in Limoges, France. The mark indicates this piece was made for the Frontier Hotel in Pawhuska, a boutique hotel in northeastern Oklahoma. The jar is decorated with a gilded scene of two lovers on the front. The young man is on his knee, apparently asking for the hand of his pretty mistress. The dresser jar measures 5.25 inches high (13.5 cm) to the top of the gilded finial. It measures 2.75 inches in diameter (7 cm). This piece is in very good used condition with no chips or cracks. Gold in very good condition. The hinged lid works smoothly.
