They are fully tapered just like the original springs and have correct arch to match so that they won't dig into the existing #2 leaf. *Adding non-tapered leaves with your existing tapered leaves will generally result in the leaves breaking. *Adding leaves with too much extra high arch (more than the existing leaves) to achieve lift also generally results in excessive leaf dig-in and generally results in breaking.
