Description: G & F Bill lithograph birds eye view of mt vernon 1859 Massachusetts Original. Hand colored , this is 162 year old paper. This has been folded in 1/2 & in 1/2 again. I see separation at 2 of the intersections of folds. Small but take note. Also the image originally was 14 1/4” x 11 1/4” when new and had the title in bottom margin, also the sky was trimmed down making this image 14” x 9 1/2”. The 3 sides are cut right at the original line bordering the image but that top line was cut crooked. I took the measure at the lowest cut line. Note one hole is focused in photo. The image is backed at the sides (3 sides) with cut paper strips attached at back. I will leave removal to new owner. And giving piece a bit more stability.The image is great not-faded bright color, another area at left corner has a “scrape” where top color layer is scraped off, again I included photo. I am confident this could be restored & reframed to be an amazing addition to your Americana , Massachusetts historic collection. Remember on paper 162 years old ! You be the judge of condition,I am not an expert or collector.
