GamePro Magazine 2nd Issue! - July/August 1989 - Two Inserts! - Gradius II

Description: Up for grabs is the 2nd overall issue of GamePro. This issue was released in July/August of 1989. This is the "Gradius II" issue. This issue of GamePro includes two inserts. The first is a GamePro subscription insert towards the beginning of the magazine. The 2nd insert, towards the back of the mag is for ordering GamePro products like T-Shirts. This month's GamePro's "Cutting Edge" article is huge. Spanning several pages. It's all about the upcoming super systems from Sega and NEC. The Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx-16. Both of those systems would probably arrive on store shelves maybe a month after this issue was at newsstands. There was also some discussion about Nintendo's Super Famicom system. This would of course end up being the Super Nintendo in the USA. The "Hot at the Arcades" article in this issue is concentrating on three big arcade games at that time. Operation Thunderbolt by Taito, The Final Round by Konami and Turbo Outrun by Sega. Operation Thunderbolt arcade cabinet will always be remembered for having the physical machine gun that you'd use to fight the enemy. This GamePro issue does feature a special version of it's "Overseas Prospects" article. It's a huge 4 page spread on Gradius II, out for the NES in Japan. Another bonus article in this issue is a two-page "Industry Profile" on Data East. Of course, there's plenty of two-page spreads and single-page layouts for various games. In fact, there's even a three-page spread! Milon's Secret Castle for the Nintendo Entertainment System gets a nice three-page layout. Guerrilla War, Goal, Strider, Super Dodge Ball and Stealth ATF all got two-page breakdowns for the NES. Altered Beast by Sega for the Sega Master System got a nice three page spread too! Rastan, Vigilante and Galaxy Force, all got two-page spreads for the Sega Master System. Dark Chambers, Mission Impossible and Airball all got two-page breakdowns fort the Atari 7800. Please take a close look at all the pictures. What you see is what you get. The magazine is bagged and boarded. (This means it's in a protective plastic sleeve that also has a boarding behind it, to keep the magazine in good condition) Shipping is via Flat Rate Priority Envelope. Cardboard will be placed inside to ensure the magazine isn't bent during shipping.
