Description: 2022 New sintered bronze thrust pad for Garrard 401 by Audiosilente Italy Kit consisting of a support in delrin + thrust pad in sintered bronze + 1 extra thrust pad in sintered bronze. It is with real pleasure that we announce the latest effort by Audiosilente. Originally Garrard introduced a flat thrust bearing, used in the Garrard 301 Grease and oil and in the first version Garrard 401, only in the latest production did Garrard 401 introduce the dome shape to reduce friction compared to the flat version. Starting with a study of the original (worn) Garrard 401 thrust plate, the original shape of the sintered bronze dome was reproduced. A mold was then created for mass production.Since the lower part of the Garrard 301 and 401 spindle is not designed to work on hard materials such as ceramic balls, normal bronze or other materials, it is obvious that the best choice is the one that Garrard introduced, a self-lubricating dome made of sintered bronze, pre-impregnated with oil. The use of hard materials initially results in improvements, but then over time tends to ruin the spindle itself. This is why we decided to replicate exactly what it was designed by Garrard, the best choice. This thurst pad is supported by a delrin base made with a CNC lathe. The new thrust plate is inserted into its base simply by hand, no need to press it in with any tools. Then it is "crimped' in position. To replace it, a regular M3 screw (included) that acts as a puller is all that is needed, and then the new thrust plate can be "press-fitted" back on. The kit will include a delrin holder and 2 sintered bronze domes; more sintered bronze domes will be available upon request. Last but not least, the making of the mold for this item, although it may seem simple, is as complex as you can imagine, much more complex than any other sintered bronze audiosilente product. Nuovo reggispinta in bronzo sinterizzato per Garrard 401 By Audiosilente E con vero piacere che Audiosilente annuncia l ultima fatica. Originariamente la Garrard introdusse un reggispinta piatto, utilizzato nel Garrard 301 Grease e olio e nel Garrard 401 prima versione, solo al nell’ultima produzione introdusse la forma a cupola per ridurre gli attriti rispetto alla versione piatta. Partendo dallo studio del reggispinta originale del Garrard 401 ( usurato ) si è ricavata la forma originale della cupola in bronzo sinterizzato. E' stato quindi creato uno stampo per la produzione in serie di questo reggispinta. Poichè la parte inferiore del perno Garrard 301 401 non è progettato per lavorare su materiali duri, come sfere ceramiche, bronzo normale o altri materiali, va da se che la scelta migliore è quella che introdusse Garrard ovvero una cupola autolubrificante in bronzo sinterizzato , pre impregnata di olio. L utilizzo di materiali duri, comporta inizialmente dei miglioramenti, ma poi con il tempo tende a rovinare il piano stesso del perno. Questo è il motivo per cui abbiamo deciso di replicare esattamente quando fu progettato da Garrard, la scelta migliore. Questa cupola è sostenuta da un supporto in delrin realizzato con tornio a controllo numerico. Il montaggio tra le 2 parti avviene con una semplice pressione di un dito e poi viene fatta una crinpatura nel momento del montaggio per la sostituzione del reggispinta basta una normale vite M3 ( fornita )che funge da estrattore , e poi si rimonta a pressione il nuovo reggispinta. Ultima nota, la realizzazione dello stampo di questo articolo, anche se può sembrare semplice, è quanto di più complesso si possa immaginare, molto piu complesso e costoso di qualsiasi altro prodotto audiosilente in bronzo sinterizzato made in Italy by Audiosilente
