Description: This is an etching by Gene Kloss, who is considered one of the most prominent printmakers of the Twentieth Century. Her work is collected by museums throughout the world. This particular etching is number 43 from an edition of 75. It is signed in the lower right hand corner and titled "GUNNISON RIVER CLIFFS" and numbered 43/75 in the lower left hand corner. This etching was done in 1967 and we purchased it from Gallery A in Taos, New Mexico in the mid 1970's. It has been carefully stored in a smoke free environment since that time. The image measures 11 7/8" X 17 3/4" and is #511 in the Catalog Raisonne. I believe the actual Gunnison River Cliffs, are located near Delta, Colorado. There are two light tape hinges on the two upper corners of the paper (just as it came from the gallery) as shown in the seventh, eighth, and ninth photographs. The etching itself is in excellent condition and it will be carefully packaged and shipped insured.
