Description: Offered is the General Electric S5-5C-2 Radio Speaker. The speaker is from an old G E radio. It is in working condition. The speaker is clean and in good condition with only a few rust spots on the front-visible in the photos and not severe. The speaker is a 5-inch type, 5 1/2 inch frame diameter, with an Alnico Magnet. The paper cone and cardboard surround are in good condition. The original output transformer remains attached-it measures 304 ohms on the DMM-the wiring harness and 4-pin plug are in good condition as well. Voice coil measures about 1.3 ohms-the speaker works, it makes loud pops and noises when battery-tested. Mounting holes are at the corners with centers at 6 inches on center, measured across the speaker diameter. Another set of mounting holes are offset a little from the first set of holes-these are at 6 1/8 inches on center, measured across the diameter. The original radio used a tube output, so it is a sensitive and efficient speaker. This speaker can be used for replacement use in many radios or for Hi Fi use.
