Description: This is a very rare, genuine large school slate from 1893. It is inscribed October 24, 1983 with 3 initials on the top of the slate and 1893 is carved into the wood frame on the bottom. As are most slates of this era, this slate is cracked longways but is solid in the frame and was no doubt used in this condition. If you are looking for a true piece of American history, this slate is for you. It measures 9-12”x13-1/2” and is very solid. Please look at all of the pictures. You will not be disappointed.
