Description: DOMINICAN AMBER WITH SPIDER AND FLY INCLUSIONS! i have had this in my collection box for over 30 years. It is a very nice amber piece from the Dominican Republic, collected and polished, maybe 35 years ago. It has a very nice clear brandy color, and has nice and very clear inclusions. I see one spider and two maybe three small flies. As the photos show, under magnification the details of these fossil insects are amazing. This amber is estimated to be between 35 to 55 million years old. And many of the insects within are now extinct. The scale with the amber piece is in centimeters, and the amber is about the size and width of a small grape. In inches it measures 0.66" x 0.36". I will be obtaining even more ancient Cretaceous Era amber to do thin sections of in the near future. Of which I will offer here. Please Note: For all orders from the same customer I always offer combine shipping costs as I send multiple orders in the same parcel. The customer pays for one shipping charge. Since 1999, I consider combined shipping after paying for multiple items at the same time a good business practice. One tracking number for one parcel. One shipping charge.
