Description: Genuine Early 1900's Native American War Shirt - Tanned Buffalo Stock # 80124-EV/A9.28RY This very well preserved war shirt is believed to be made out of buffalo hide with a yellow/cream color outside and red/orange inside. Sewn together with scalp locks. Remnants of yellow hair randomly seen still attached. Featuring leather fringe, scalp locks, horse hair in shells, beadwork of paths crossing (red, blue, yellow & white), painted with purple, white and brown natural sources and deer toes. Each arm holds 5 Shells containing horse hair. Deer toes surround the bibs edges and center or paths crossing.
