Description: This is an original oil painting by U.S. artist George Grunblatt (1923-2008). It is signed and dated on lower right corner “G. Grunblatt’65”. The back is inscribed with the title/ location as “Saint Louis Cathedral from Orleans St. by Geo. Grunblatt 1965”. The number “408” is also inscribed on the back. The picture measures 24” H x 18”W unframed. The artist was best known for his paintings of the French Quarter beginning in the early 1950s. Since I am not familiar with original oil paintings I am unsure of how to describe the condition. Brush strokes are visible, there are some bumps and other streaks that look like it needs to be cleaned. There are no tears/rips, water damage or cracks in the paint. The frame is wood and is in fair condition.
