Description: Offered here is “Holland Boy”, a cloth, mask face doll by Georgene Novelties produced in the 1950’s. His hair is made of yellow yarn and worn in Dutch Boy style with blue cap, blue balloon leg trousers, red double breast jacket with print coordinating neck scarf, white ribbed socks and carved wooden shoes. The mask face has blue eyes, single stroke eyebrows, attached upper eyelashes, red dots for nostrils, rosy cheeks and closed coral mouth. The wrist tag is marked Georgene ‘s Nu-Art Doll, A Product of Georgene Novelties Inc. made in U.S.A. The model number is 5084 marked on the back of the tag. NOTE: The doll was poorly stored resulting in some dust and wrinkling of clothes. I've given him a good shake and a few hours in the sun to freshen, but new owner might want to wipe him with damp cloth to further freshen. He is a lovely old doll wearing all original clothes and his cheeks have not been flattened as so many of these vintage dolls have been.
