Description: Georges LeleuA small French art deco flush mount by the famous Paris based lighting manufacturer Georges Leleu. Made around 1931- 1934. Leleu founded the company by the turn of the century. It closed down in the late 30s. The nice base of this flush mount is done in solid nickel-plated cast metal that looks to me like some kind of aluminium alloy. It holds a nice skyscraper shade in clear frosted glass blown in a mold. 1931 Onwards this model which exists in numerous sizes and different shapes was used frequently by Leleu for chandeliers and table lamps. In the 1935 Leleu product poster as item X-2880 a similar flush mount is offered with a cheaper nickeled mount in thin pressed brass. The poster is no part of this sale. The flush mount has a height of 23 cm (9-1/16 inches) and the metal mount has a diameter of 15 cm (5,9"). It is in very good condition. I re-nickeled and patinated the mounting. It is rewired with an American standard socket. For European countries I will place a E27 one.Free worldwide shipping.
