Description: Georgian (circa 1810) Irish pearlware blue transfer-printed plate; by James Donovan & Son Retailers & Decorators of porcelain - had a shop at George's Quay, Dublin (1770-1829). They imported "blanks" from English Staffordshire Potteries - Spode, Minton etc. and decorated / finished them in Dublin. Condition: some spots of factory kiln-fault to glaze (see photos) and minor glaze nibbles to rim, otherwise perfect - no chips, cracks or hairlines and no restoration. Size: 25cm (9.8 inches) diameter NB.
