Description: Georgian solid silver helmet jug The date letter and the lion face are difficult to make out but the lion face hallmark is for London. I can make out that the particular lion face used can be one of two and this, combined with the three only hallmarks (excluding the maker's mark) make me believe it was made between 1756 and 1783. The makers mark is clear, is 'CC' with a dot in between, and can be seen in picture 7. This jug is about 5 inches (13 cm) high to top of handle. Please also view photos carefully as they form part of the description. Note: Only offers above the starting bid will be considered. Please see other items we have on sale this week.
