Description: Up for sale is a rare copy of a German Bible (both old and new testaments) published 1847 by the American Bible Society. Its full German title is "DIE BIBEL, ODER DIE GANZE HEILIGE SCHRIFT, DES ALTEN UND NEUEN TESTAMENTSBible is a rare early copy of the American Bible Societies work and was published in New York. It is in decent condition with the major issue being several pages (189-195) in the new testament have been ripped up into several pieces. Most pieces are still present but I have not tried to repair or figure out exactly how much is missing. Other than that there is staining down the spine, browning, some pencil marks, wear and scuffing to the boards, cracking to the spine and general wear throughout along with a couple loose pages. On the plus side the bible is still solid and intact, pages are generally clean with a couple exceptions and the condition overall is decent. Probably would Acceptable /Acceptable + because of ripped pages. Otherwise would be Good-/Fair +.One note, I can not make out a distinct family name for the signatures in back but the time period only covers about 30 years in the 1800's.
