Description: This is a rare vintage Retch and Company lusterware pitcher or creamer. It is about 3 1/4 inches round (not counting the handle) by 5 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks. It does have some wear on the handle (some of the orange is missing) and it has a manufacturing defect (extra pottery drop on one side). The RCW back stamp, a triangle configured around a small flower, is from Retsch & Co. of Wunsiedel (a city and district in Northeast Bavaria) and they used this particular symbol on their wares immediately after World War I. Under glaze base chips are a common manufacturing process of that era. Based on the back stamp we believe this is from the 1920's. A must have for your collection.B016-0600/0900-T122060X2
