Description: This is a replacement note for a 10 German Deutsche mark that is dated 1 October 1993 and signed by Hans Tietmeyer and Johann Wilhelm Gaddum. It is a bluish-purple note that measures 130 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features the scientist Carl Friedrich Gauss, a building in Goettingen, and the Gaussian distribution curve. Its reverse side shows the German Central Bank logo, a heliotrope, and a triangulation network. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized 10 DM and a watermark of Carl Friedrich Gauss and 10. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced very minor handling, and has slightly off-center margins and registration. Thus, it is graded 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
