Metal clasp is fully intact with a pleasant patina, and silvered edge treatments remain bright. Decorative pastedowns show spots of foxing, but interior is pristine otherwise with bright pages free of writing or stains. Binding is tight throughout, and spine has no cracks. Gift box is worn at edges with one lid edge separated, but remans functional and attractive nonetheless. Volume includes numerous pieces of ephemera including a confirmation card, church photograph, a number of devotional slips, a gorgeous piece of embroidery, and a pressed leaf. An absolutely lovely and personal volume, and a unique example of a Stuttgart hymnal.
