Description: GIANNI VERSACE COUTURE Vintage Silk Shirt, Green/Blue Face Print Size Italian 58 Here is a completely lovely vintage silk shirt by Gianni Versace Couture in a large Italian size, with a bold pattern and color combination. Cut from 100% silk, the shirt displays columns of tessellating faces, which to my eye, look like Greek Gods, in shades of lime green, aqua, periwinkle and ecru. Pretty sure you're going to feel like a Greek God in this shirt! As per, with Mr. Versace's clothing, detail is key: all buttons are wrapped in the same silk fabric, has a hidden button inside the collar point to secure the collar point to the body of the shirt, has a double-buttoned collar closure, has a choice of two button holes for closure at the cuffs, and a fabulous design and possibly more fabulous color combination. Know that this is an Italian size 58, since it was handmade in Italy! - which I believe roughly translates to a US size XL. Following are approximate measurements, taken with the piece lying flat: Shoulder width, measured from shoulder seam to should seam = 21" Chest size, measured from armpit seam to armpit seam, buttoned = 25" = 50" circumference Sleeve length 1, measured from center collar to end of cuff = 38" Sleeve length 2, measured from top of shoulder to end of cuff = 26" Sleeve length 3, measured from armpit to end of cuff = 21" Body length, measured from back of collar to bottom hemline = 32" Body length, measured from front shoulder seam at collar, to hemline = 31" My research has proven inconclusive as to dating, but I feel fairly certain this piece is from the 1980s. Of course, EJ has this same exact shirt up for sale for $2700...and it has bleach damage! Then too, EJ hasn't worn my shirt, nor are the proceeds going to a charity, though I will be happy to donate to his most excellent cause when this shirt sells. Weighing in at mere 4.50 oz, and sent to you in a waterproofed bubble mailer. As for condition, it's clear the shirt has been worn, but there are no stains, holes, snags, runs, rips, tears or stink - in excellent vintage condition. Thanks for the looky-loo!
